SIT TO TAKE A STAND

Sit. Pause. Reflect. Act.

Every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm, wherever you are, pause all activity. Take this time to reflect, and by the end of the sitting, execute a tangible action that helps accelerates the shift towards a sustainable world.

We aim to make “Sit to Take a Stand” a non-partisan, global movement pressuring political and business leaders to take decisive and comprehensive actions against climate change and environmental destruction.

The movement is designed to minimize the barriers of participation by concerned individuals from all walks of life by letting them sit wherever they are every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.

For Employees: This pause during your workday isn't just a break—it's a call for an internal revolution. Use this time to band together, strategize, and advocate for change within your organization. Champion green initiatives, demand transparency, hold accountable and emphasize a genuine commitment to sustainability. Employees can advocate for sustainable practices and transparent reporting, ensuring businesses prioritize planet and profit in tandem.

For Consumers: Our collective purchasing power holds significant sway. By choosing to pause, we send a clear message to businesses and governments: prioritize environmental concerns. At the end of each sitting, we urge consumers to directly engage with their economic, political, and personal organizational ecosystems. Demand tangible investments, impactful policies, and measurable results, and hold these entities accountable for their actions.

While the challenges ahead are immense and complex, remember this: the capacity for change doesn't just lie with our leaders. It's also within us—all of us. Through our collective will and unified purpose, we amplify our voices, signaling to global decision-makers that environmental priorities cannot be sidelined.

Every time we sit, we create waves of awareness, comprehension, and resolve. While each of us individually may seem like a mere drop, together, we constitute a mighty ocean of change, urging and empowering those in authority to listen and to act.
